Flexible seating allows students to choose what kind of learning environment works best for them, gives them a sense of ownership, and allows students to communicate in a comfortable setting. Being comfortable allows students to stay vested in the task and their behavior is equally positive. For example, some students may need to exert their energy bouncing on the balance chair or maybe, they would rather read in their own space using a reclining stadium seat or floor cushion. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student engagement but ultimately, help to increase student achievement. Each student is unique and learns in their own way. I believe evolving the classroom space from the traditional rows of desks to something that meets each student's individual needs, impacts their learning, interactions, and the classroom community in a positive way.
