The two different parts of this project (the Wobble Seats and the Bundle) really speak to active students and students who crave movement or variety throughout the day. I am sure we have all felt that antsy or restless feeling in our legs sitting through a long meeting. This year will be like no other, students will be confined to their desks for the vast majority of the day and having options like the wobble seats or bundle would be a huge benefit to easing up on the strains of confinement. Although it may seem small, having choices (like seating options) mean so much to my sixth graders. You can just see their face light up when their request to sit somewhere other than their desk, is granted.
By helping fund this project, you allow students to have freedom of choice and assist them in advocating for their own learning needs. Please consider channeling your inner child and how you would feel knowing that your voice and choice were being considered in the classroom. We are all striving to make our classrooms and homes even more comfortable than ever given the circumstances, and these two choices would aide in that immensely.
