This project will help provide my 4th grade students with some needed classroom essentials. This will ensure that they are all prepared to focus on their learning instead of what materials they need. The books will also be used to develop important conversations that strengthen our classroom community and give students insight into their own and other cultures. I can't wait to see their faces light up at all the resources my classroom will have for them. Pencils will be readily available for students to use throughout the day so they never panic when they don't have one. The books on the list cover a wide variety of topics that will resonate with my students and teach them about cultures that are different from their own. Read alouds are one of my favorite times to spend with my students, and these books will ensure that they are engaged in what we're reading.
