I have used these magazines in the past to help supplement traditional US History curriculum and provide a platform to discuss and review current events around the world. Using the Scholastic Upfront magazine, students will be able to understand current events around the world while providing background historical information as well. This magazine provides interactive student opportunities to explore issues that impact their lives and help them become informed citizens. The magazines provide a variety of tools such as video, debates, and primary source documents to enable students to see the issues from a variety of perspectives.

About my class
