These snacks will be used once students return to in school learning. I teach in a lower income part of OKC and for many families it is hard enough to get food on the table, let alone sign up to bring snacks to their child's school. With this project I will be able to eliminate that burden from my parents and provide nutritious snacks to my students to help fill their bellies so I can fill their minds. Each day my students have an afternoon snack to keep their energy up and their learning going until the end of the day. All of my students receive both free breakfast and free lunch at school, and many of them rely heavily on the meals they are provided at school for their nutritional needs.

About my class
