All students love to go to the classroom or school library and choose beautiful, colorful, exciting new books to read. Unfortunately, for students who are struggling readers, it is hard to find books that look like what their peers are reading AND be books that are at an appropriate level to help them grow. The goal of my classroom library is to provide an opportunity for my students to choose books they can be proud of and have the ability to read, not just look at pictures. No one wants to appear different from their classmates, and it grows their confidence to have access to books that they can read without struggling.

About my class
