I am so excited to begin my first year teaching and want to ensure my students are set up for success! Our school provides each scholar with a Chromebook, but more is needed. I want each of my 33 scholars to have individualized sets of learning materials in their home. This will allow students to participate virtually and allow them to create a positive learning environment at their own homes. These sets will include notebooks, dry erase boards, and more. Each scholar will use the materials to work online during our synchronous learning times and off the computer to build writing and math skills. The dry erase boards, markers, and pencils will be used so student can show their work on their screen for the teacher and their peers to see! I also want to provide my students with the rewards for all their hard work this year including play-doh and fun erasers! While it is not possible to safely bring our scholars together in a ‘traditional’ classroom, we will do things differently to provide our scholars with the education they deserve. My scholars will need to have a positive learning environment in their home that supports both their academic and social-emotional needs. These resources will help each and every one of my 33 scholars! Help me make it an amazing year for all my 2nd graders!
