My main priority in returning to in-person learning is keeping my students safe and engaged in their school work by providing additional seating options. These chairs will allow me to keep them socially distanced and comfortable. Our current classroom is set up with desks pushed into tables. While I have a variety of other seating options for the children to use, the class loved using the lap desks that I purchased last year and these chairs are the perfect compliment to those smaller desks! Finding space in my classroom is a challenge, I want to get rid of some of the bulky desks in my room so I can socially distance the students while providing a comfortable option that has the kids ready to learn. Feeling safe in the classroom is always important, but this year I want to focus on that even more. I was worried the students would get tired of sitting at a lap desk all day without having a chair. If my project is fully funded, I will be able to get some chairs for my students to use with the lap desks.
