I will be delivering Reading instruction remotely with the help of stories portraying cultural diversity. Multicultural books create a sense of belonging connecting home and school environments, and across cultures. Therefore, my reading lessons will focus on critical reading skills through the use of multicultural books. As a reading teacher, my goal is create a culturally diverse library to help build a classroom community that is supportive and accepting of others. While we will be learning virtually, our community will be built on bringing people together, regardless of culture and ethnicity through the literature we read.
