I am in the first weeks of my first job as a School Counselor & I LOVE IT! Woohoo! My goal is to be relatable, understanding, loving, and welcoming. For me to be able to be those things it is important that I have the supplies needed to build relationships, store resources, and provide a calming and comforting place to my students. My students need an advocate and cheerleader in their life. Someone who is willing to stop, listen, and enjoy the small moments with them. While challenging them to grow, learn. I strongly believe in providing a safe environment for students. This environment is created with flexible seating, fidgets, paper resources, games, and me (an understanding adult) who is ready to advocate for them!
