Our standards for Library have changed because of the demand of Computer Science jobs that are available for graduates. We have taken many classes to learn all of the new standards for Media Specialist. Our job is to promote these jobs to our students as young as Kindergarten to get a better number of graduates in the Computer Science industry. I am looking to add robots to my collection so that I can do centers and have every student have a robot of their own to learn from. With the Covid situation going on it is hard to have the students share robots because of the mandates of being so many feet apart. In Kindergarten student will be learning the standards K.AP.A.1 Model daily processes by creating and following sets of step-by-step instructions (algorithms) to complete tasks. K.AP.PD.1 Identify and fix (debug) errors in a sequence of instructions (algorithms) that includes loops. In 1st grade students will be learning the standards 1.AP.PD.1 Describe the iterative process of program development (including terminology, steps taken, and the logic of choices). 1.AP.V.1 Model the way programs store and manipulate data by using numbers or other symbols to represent information. We will be looking at binary codes on the bee bots. In 2nd grade students will be learning standards 2.AP.C.1 Develop programs with sequences and loops, to express ideas or address a problem. 2.AP.M.1 Break down (decompose) the steps needed to solve a problem into a precise sequence of instructions. 2.AP.PD.1 Develop plans that describe a program’s sequence of events, goals, and expected outcomes. 2.AP.PD.2 Give attribution (credit) when using the ideas and creations of others while developing programs
