Since I am a special education teacher and my students need more intensive instruction, I will be teaching in a small group setting. The students will use and reference the resources during my instruction to help them understand the concepts being taught. This is especially important for math since using resources/manipulatives helps my students visualize abstract ideas. The books I hope to receive will correlate with my lessons and help teach math and ELA objectives. I strive to integrate literacy within all of my lessons so the students learn to love reading and develop strong comprehension skills. Once a week I will be teaching virtually, so I will be using some of the resources while conducting zoom lessons/videos. Holding up books, manipulatives and visuals are vital to my students comprehension of the topics being taught.
