In a world where technology is ever present and ever changing, technology use in high school and beyond is detrimental to a child’s educational success. Providing a calculator to use at home would make a huge difference in their ability to succeed in the advance courses they signed up for. As an advance Math teacher, it breaks my heart to see under privileged students lack the ability to compete with their peers due to not having the proper tools. If we were to go to virtual learning because of the Corona virus, I would be confident that all the students will have the same opportunity to continue their learning at home. My students and I, would be grateful if you approve this request!
