These diverse books and fully representational dolls and family toys will be used in the classroom everyday by my students. I teach in a predominately white school district and I want my students to not only see themselves represented in books, but to also expose them to all of the beautiful people of the world. I am creating an Anti-Biased/Anti-Racist curriculum where we use incredible diverse children's books to talk about injustices, racism, race, and inequalities. I think that it is important to start children young in being aware of biases and racist tendencies around them so that when they see it happening, they can learn to stand up to it and stand up for their fellow community members. We will also be exploring what different families look like, LGBTQ+ families, differently abled families, and so much more! Thank you so much for anything you can donate! You are affecting the lives of many children in a way who will leave a positive footprint on this earth!
