These medical-grade HEPA filters purify up to 1200 sq ft/hr. Having 2 allows our 2500 sq ft band room to have clean, purified air. The HVAC systems do not purify, nor remove aerosols from the air and our A/C is turned off at 3 pm daily and on again the next morning at 6:30am. The lack of circulation in our band room will be alleviated by adding these purifiers. While our students and staff follow COVID protocols set forth by our district, our students need to have air that is filtered when we play instruments indoors.
