The use of the Scholastic News magazines will proved my students with up to date current events and stories for which our students can relate. I am going to use these texts and the questions/writing prompts that accompany them to put some interesting and complex text and information in their hand. This resource can also be easily added to our online platform for our virtual students. One the greatest challenges I have as a reading and writing teacher is finding materials/text the students are engaged in. I feel confident that these materials will spark their interesting; thus, making learning fun.
