My high school special education students have low reading levels and find it difficult to be able to study the classics like their general education peers. This often makes it so that these students have to read books that are for lower grades and therefore are not as interesting for high school students. Graphic novels help students with low reading levels understand novels at their interest level. To Kill a Mockingbird is one of those classics that teaches a great lesson that is very appropriate for our times and fortunately, there is a graphic novel available. Please help my students read this classic novel!
