Kindergarten students need as many hands-on experiences to help them understand math concepts because they are concrete learners at this age. Manipulatives help them accomplish this. Manipulatives help them learn skills such as one to one correspondence, patterning, and counting as well as other valuable skills. They also need materials to develop their skills in art. Painting and creating art will help them develop their creativity and fine motor skills. It will help them learn their colors, too!
