My students need to strengthen their hands and improve their fine motor coordination in order to write, cut, color, button, type, and complete various other tasks required in school and life. We are learning at home to begin this semester, and I need to make sure each child has the supplies he/she needs to participate in therapy sessions. Therapy sessions are tailored to each student to meet his/her specific goals as determined by the educational team, including the parents. This can include playing games with dice and marbles, writing stories and illustrating them on dry erase boards, and building with blocks. These activities help the students develop fine motor coordination and control, pencil grip, hand strength, as well as work on turn-taking and social skills! By donating to this project, you will provide a durable box that will be sent home to each student on my caseload filled with pencils, markers, dice, blocks, marbles, and other tools they will need to engage in therapy activities.
