I am a School Counselor and I teach SEL. I read stories and add activities afterwards that my students can practice. The students will utilize these items to help them learn self regulation strategies. SEL activities will help us learn and grow. We have a population of students on the reservation with high trauma and are high risk. I like to have students do projects they can take home to practice. The bottles will be used for calming jars in second grade. Play dough will be used in kindergarten for fidgets and journals are for my first graders.
