My math students will use these hands on manipulatives and tools at home during virtual learning and throughout the year to help make math meaningful and build their math understanding and math fact fluency! My goal is to make Take Home Math Bags for my students to use during virtual learning and for accessibility to math game resources throughout the school year. I will be using these materials as I teach virtually and modeling for my students how to use the resources to play math games and engage in meaningful math activities. I will be sharing and sending home grade level and content specific directions for these games and activities along and along throughout the year. Supplying the means necessary for my students to have these resources at home will make a world of difference and positive impact on their number sense understanding and overall numeracy development. Furthermore, my students will be able to involve their parents, grandparents, caregivers, and siblings in these math games and activities which will bridge and strengthen the school to home connection between me and my students!
