In a world with COVID-19, students cannot share any materials or resources. While resources are available online, there’s no replacement for holding a book in your hand and reading. This project would provide each student with their own copy of The Lord of the Flies to keep and use during our time teaching virtually. Students learn much from this book - much, much more than just alliteration, character development, and plot. They learn about the discovery of individuality, the importance of teamwork, and what can happen when people choose a world of pessimism rather than optimism.
