As a fully remote teacher, after 14 years of teaching in person, I am ambitiously recreating curriculum, diving into technology, inventing new strategies and routines, and providing a digitally safe and engaging place for my fifth graders to learn. Each day is a learning opportunity and I am watching my hard work and commitment to my students pay off in big ways. However, with great plans comes an incredible need for reliable technology and faster processing speeds. Even the simplest tasks are not possible with my current technology. The processor cannot keep up with sharing of screens, videos, or extensions. A MacBook's processor would allow me to provide consistent engaging lessons to give my students the education they deserve. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve my students' remote learning experience, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
