My belief is if students can relate they will want to read more. The book, Dear Martin, will serve as an independent reading book for all 7th graders. This book will be used to teach reading strategies to enhance reading abilities and to allow readers to connect with the text more than ever before. This book will lead to good Classroom Meeting and work as a way to reflect and improve and apply lifelong lessons of morals and principles. My hope is that every student in 7th grade will become more captivated and enlightened, and as a result, pushing them to eagerly read, learn, and grow academically and mentally.
