I am privileged enough to be able to teach all subjects, except for P.E., to my students. I asked if I could do art and music because I felt they are important. I don't have anything to help enhance these subjects for my students and allow them to experience it. I can only listen to a song, or color with crayons so much before I am going to lose their interest and give them the erroneous impression that art and music are boring. I also lack some of the basic manipulatives to help them as they form their understanding of math. I have carefully thought about and selected these items because they will aid me the most as I make this school year one that they'll remember not because we all had to wear face masks, but because they were able to do something that helped them to learn in a new way. They'll be able to actually see and handle some of the things that we can only do on paper and on my computer right now.
