This school year, we are not allowed to utilize classroom rugs are carpets in a classroom, which are an elementary classroom staple. I feel like these floor cushions will allow my students to attend to whole group instruction such as listening to a read aloud story, while easily maintaining social distancing. The material is easy to clean and sanitize in between uses. I plan on assigning my students to their own floor cushion, that only they will be using throughout our time together. I do not prefer that my students remain in their chairs all day or sitting on the tile floor, so these seat cushions will allow for this to not happen. It also allows for the opportunity for students to move about the room and not remain confined to their tables.
