As a Title I district, my students struggle to obtain basic school supplies. By providing as much as I can in my classroom for them, it eases the financial burden on parents who already struggle financially to make ends meet for their families. As a history teacher, I make it my goal to help history come alive for my students. I want them to see history through the lens of storytelling. I tell them about the people. I vividly describe the events and the significance of each. I want them to see that history is not something that is dead. History doesn't have to be confined to learning about the past; it can be learning about people and events that have impacted our lives today. These materials will go a long way in helping with that! These students do an amazing job with the little we have and but I would love your help in giving them a little more to allow them to engage in more project-based learning.
