Hello! I am a first year teacher and I work in a low income title I school. Due to Covid-19 and other circumstances, we were not able to receive any funding this year. Everything in my classroom this year has been out of pocket, I have been able to purchase some things but not nearly as many as I would like to have for all of my students. I would like to have flexible seating in my classroom to make my room a more safe welcoming and efficient environment for my students. Flexible seating has been proven to have many great effects on student learning and student behavior. Student attendance is also a big issue in title I schools. Therefore, I feel is it important to have a welcoming and inviting classroom that students are excited to come to every day to increase attendance, participation, behavior and to accommodate students with different needs.
