The students exposure to books in my class is extremely important. Many of these students outside of class , do not have this opportunity! I want to encourage them to open a book as often as they can! Also, if I can include a couple of seats to allow the students to have a comfortable reading experience it may create the spark they need. Many times I have been told by the students about the lack of books they have access too. I always try to encourage the local library but would love the chance to be able to send home a weekly book.
