Many students are facing anxiety about returning to school during COVID. One way that I am trying to ease their worries is by providing them with adequate storage at their desks. This will eliminate many high-touch areas within the classroom and slow the spread of germs. In order to provide adequate distance between student desks this year I had to remove all of the bookshelves from my classroom. I know that this school year will have many unknowns but I want my students to know that they belong here. Providing them with space for their things will help them feel that there is space for them. Let the social distancing begin!
