Currently, our school utilizes computer design software that allows for the creation of geometric shapes and extrusions. It works well for basic designs and simple 3D printings. The Surface Studio 2 that I am requesting allows for true artistic expression. Students will be able to create personalized designs with this new technology. The pen feature that accompanies this system allows students to create solid models that will display all of their artistic abilities. Over the years, many of my students have displayed creativity through drawing. Many are frustrated with the limits in the design process with our current technology. This requested equipment will enhance the student's design experience.
