I like to pick craft projects that are related to our speech activities. Making a craft can serve as reinforcement during our practice in class, and then they have a nice piece of work to bring home and tell mom/dad about it! In my eyes, crafts can serve as a bridge from the classroom to home. They provide opportunities for the students to be creative, have fun, and construct something that they are proud of. They also allow for many communication opportunities where speech and language can be highlighted and practiced.

About my class
