During this hard and challenging time my students are going to need all the help they can get. None of my students are going to get the learning experience they would get being in person but with the materials I have asked for will help them, as well as the parents have a positive experience until we are able to get back into the classroom.
With my students all being on the spectrum and living in an inner-city, low-income area they are in need of materials that are individual and unique to them. The larger pencils, crayons, and markers will help with their gross motor skills, as they will need that extra help when doing their classwork. My students are going to be learning writing skills as well as learning how to write their letters. Having erasable letter books will help the students be able to practice writing as much as they want without having to waste paper. During the school year, we practice cutting with special scissors to help with their gross motor skills and help them do arts and craft projects.
My need for laminating paper is to make matching activity binders for each child. Laminating these activities will help them last the time they are virtual learning. My students also use picture exchange so laminating the pictures will also help them last. Lastly, the gift card to teachers pay teachers will help me buy new activities and virtual learning games that better suite the students while we are virtual teaching. The students will have a better learning materials while virtual learning.
Thank you so much in advance for helping me make my superheroes learning experience an easier and positive one.
