This year my Gifted girls will do a STEM project that SPICE up their gifts of learning involving LEGO blocks. Students will read "The Girl With A Mind For Math" and then create their STEM activity using LEGO blocks. Although they will use LEGO blocks, they will have to incorporate flyers and posters using the straws, construction paper, and markers. Students will use a shredder to incorporate shredded paper into their projects. The STEM project will include building and designing to help convey the meaning of science, technology, engineering, and math. Using this material will help students be creative, think critically and problem solving. Kids will have fun challenging themselves with this STEM project.
