My students are warriors. They have braved the unknowns of last year courageously and as they are now returning to brick and mortar, some for the first time, others for a new year of unknowns and yet so many familiar things. They will need copious amounts of support and tools to support the transition. The items I have listed range from games, to books, to therapeutic tools to support my mission in providing the students with as much exposure as possible to addressing their mental health in appropriate ways. Having these items will enhance their participation in discussions of mental health and events in their lives that may be causing them distress. These tools invite a sense of normalcy around discussing "Big and Little feelings" that cause distress. They also provide avenues of expression when words fail to come to growing minds.
