My fifth graders love to learn to play the ukulele. This year this will be more difficult because we can’t share one classroom set. We are starting the year with two days in person and three days remote each week. Unless I can get enough ukuleles for every student to have one assigned that they can take home if necessary, we won’t be able to play this year. I think it is impossible to stay unhappy while playing the ukulele. My students need to make music more than ever right now. We probably won’t be able to sing together or play recorders together due to COVID-19 restrictions, but with your help, we can still play the ukulele.
