Scholastic News will engage my first graders with non-fiction text about the world they live in. The readings are kid-friendly (grade-level appropriate) covering Science, Health, and Social Studies. With the Scholastic News subscription, it will include an on-line access of 32 student issues, 32 non-fiction videos, and teacher guides with lesson plans, activities, and 106 printable activity sheets. The first quarter of this school year is done virtually because of the Corona virus pandemic. There is a possibility of extending distant learning so this subscription is ideal for my classroom.

About my class
