The Acer Chromebook I placed on my Donor's Choose Wish List is a wonderful device I would love to have to enhance my ability to teach and interact with my students more effectively. This device far exceeds the computer I am currently using. It is equipped with upgrades in technology and has capabilities that would allow me to expand my lessons. The flexibility of this particular device is endless as it functions like a tablet, making it easier to handle when moving around and extending learning. Most importantly, the built-in camera would permit interactive learning, foster creativity beyond the classroom and also allow my students and I to see each other. Currently, I struggle with collaboration with my students because I have to remain stationary because of the portable, cumbersome camera that has to be balanced along the top. I find it extremely frustrating because it limits my ability to teach and interact with my students effectively. The Acer Chromebook would allow me to move around and even extend learning beyond the classroom walls, or in some cases my home office space.
