My students have been blessed to have access to laptops and tablets within the classroom setting which allows them the ability to utilize tools such as Immersive Reader and other auditory programs. We currently require headphones to enhance the student's ability to access the print-rich classroom that I strive to create through being able to hear text through the help of websites such as Learning Ally, online textbooks, and Libby Library apps. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy having the ability to read independently! The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these headphones will allow them individual access to audiobooks and applications will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
