My first grade classroom is full of movement throughout the day. We go from the carpet to our desk, to centers, and back to the carpet multiple times a day. With the pandemic happening and most students entering class for the first time in months, I want my students to feel worry free and safe and not have to think about what's going on in the outside world. My goal is to ensure that my students are first and foremost feel safe and happy. I will use the material listed in this project to teach proper classroom safety: how to wash hands, how to properly use hand sanitizer, how to properly wear their mask, and how to place mask on and off. Since my class will basically be in the room all day, we will use the air purifier to make sure the air we are breathing is as clean as possible. Students learn best when they feel safe and secure and this project is a big step in providing that safety.
