My excited students are being prepared to create resumes to market themselves for their future work experiences. Having a printed copy of their resume will help them to enhance their marketing and presentation skills as they seek employment. In this class, students learn about the interview process from creating their resume to a mock interview with the teacher and their peers. This activity provides the practice needed to secure a job. Having a printer will provide students with a professional hard copy that is needed for face to face interviewing which will allow them to standout from other high school students. These professional copies can also be used for college and scholarship applications students will complete during the school year. At the end of the school year, students will have a complete portfolio that will make them college and career ready. This portfolio will give them the edge needed in the world of work.
