These materials will help my students of all backgrounds learn information about weather, waves, and scientific investigations in general. Waves is a difficult topic for some of our students to understand without hands-on materials. Some of the materials I have requested will help students to see how waves move and interact with the world around them. Weather is another big unit for us this year. There are lots of tools, charts, and maps that go into learning about how meteorologists create our forecasts. When students are given the opportunities to learn material from hands-on lessons they tend to remember the information more than a traditional lecture.
