Help provide my speech and language therapy students a work space without barriers that aims to boost their participation and limit distractions! Space dividers and folder pockets can address visual sensory differences that have been known to cause anxiety, distress or distraction, particularly for students with autism. Children can learn better when they can sit actively in a balance ball seat. This project makes it possible for my special needs students to improve their ability to build the skills they will use to form relationships and function academically. Speech and language therapy addresses challenges with language and communication, and these materials will lead to a student-centered, optimized space in order to accomplish this.
