My little ones learn best by doing hands-on activities. They will learn financial literacy readiness skills and strengthen their fine motor skills by doing rather than watching. My students will learn how to count by using the cones and snapping the first scoop onto a number cone then stacking additional scoops on top. They will also use the cookie jar to count cookies. They will use the nuts and bolts by picking a bolt with a number up to 10 and twisting on the matching number of nuts. My students will use the Find the Number Activity Center to identify numbers and then using the tweezers to search through the tray and pull out each number. The Dot & Learn! Counting Journal will be used for counting up to 20 activities. They will sort shapes by using the shape mats and sorting everyday objects to the corresponding shape. They will sort button by shape and color. My students will use the Early Language Activity Boxes to size compare, sorting and match objects. They will use the Measurement Fine Motor Center to measure logs using bamboo stalks and panda-shaped tweezers. They will use the rainbow scratch paper to practice writing their names, letters and number. They will use the Washable Sensory Play Materials to explore their tactile senses and describing them such as hard and bumpy. The Activity Tree for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Soft & Washable Alphabet Blocks will be used to practice naming and identifying letters of the alphabet. The floor seat will be a great addition to our class. My students may choose to take a sensory break while using this seat and using the weighted lap pad to relax and ease their anxiety.
