The materials I am requesting will be used to make take home kits for students in my Horticulture Science Class. The supplies I am in need of are all necessary components of making a working terrarium. The glass vases will be used as the base of the terrarium. From there (and students will learn about the layers, and their uses in agriculture as well) students will layer the gravel, charcoal, sheet moss, soil, and finally the succulents to complete their terrariums. These take home kits will be accompanied with several weeks worth of learning about different plants life cycles, growth stages, environmental needs, pests, diseases, etc. These terrariums will be an opportunity for the students to see what they have learned in action, as a unit final assignment. This project is something I have tried to do in years past, but resources are limited this year, and I don't want the students' opportunities to be limited too.
