Normally in my classes we paint with thin more craft type acrylic paint because of the cost. This will give students a chance to work with a thicker bodied higher quality paint that will take their paintings to the next level. I will be teaching them to paint emotional landscapes in an impressionistic style using thick paint and larger brush strokes. We will practice painting using palette knives to keep the paint thick. This only works with thick bodied paint. They will learn about optical color mixing as well as how to match colors and values.
