I feel that we as teachers need to expose all students to more diversity and culture. I truly believe that our young kids will be the ones that will bring change needed in our world. Without being exposed to different cultures, kids are less likely to be open to people not like them. I feel as an ELA teacher the best way to do this is through reading material. I would like to expand my current library to offer more book choices. Thank you in advance for helping me create a more diverse classroom library.
