Room transformations are a great way to build background knowledge for students that don't have the resources at home to experience life outside of their hometown and to engage students throughout the class period. We live in a small, rural town where most of the students have never been outside the city limits. Room transformations let them experience new things without leaving town! Each month I transform the classroom to look like a different theme. Students will be traveling to Disney World, taking a ride on the Polar Express, participating in March Madness, attending a carnival, and saying Ahoy! to April (Pirates). We will use these room transformations to review the materials we've been learning so far in class.

About my class
