These materials will be used to facilitate many learning opportunities for my students. Having an easel in our classroom would allow for our daily carpet time to be very meaningful. We can write on the dry erase board, hang up a pocket chart, and have group discussions about the things being displayed for all of the students to see. I can also write our morning message on the lined magnet to hang up on the easel! This is going to be an interesting and trying school year for everyone, so my students and I are going to have to stick together to get through it - while doing our best to stay 6 feet apart. If carpet time is not possible, an easel would also help my students see things that I am posting in the room from their seats. By donating to my project, you would be doing me and my students a huge favor, as this easel is something that I believe will really be advantageous to all of us when it comes to carrying out whole-group learning experiences. The book bins will be beneficial for my kiddos, too, because when they go "book shopping" at the beginning of every week, they can put their books in their very own book bin. Ideally, each student would have their own so that throughout the week they are not touching each other's books. At the end of each week, I would then sanitize the outsides of the books before putting them back on the shelves of my classroom library. This will help us in our attempt to keep everyone safe and healthy as we continue to learn throughout this school year.
