My classroom serves a diverse group of K–12 students with a wide range of learning needs in a primarily virtual setting. Many of my students receive special education services and need individualized support in reading, math, communication, behavior, executive functioning, and independent learning skills. Because students learn from home, I combine virtual instruction, small-group and one-on-one support, and in-person, hands-on learning opportunities. My classroom focuses on meeting students where they are academically and developmentally while building confidence, independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful academic growth.
